Volunteers & Sponsorships

  • Sports Officials & Scorekeepers
The Tahoe City Parks and Recreation Department is seeking prospective umpires and referees for the upcoming sports programs. If you are interested in being a leader on the court or field, please call 530-583-3440, ext. 11. Training and supervision are provided.
  • Coaches Needed
Do you have a love for children and a strong desire to be a positive role model? Both men and women are encouraged to invest their time as volunteer coaches for basketball, softball, and volleyball. You provide the time and enthusiasm, we provide the training! (Finger printing is required because you are working directly with children.) To sign up or for more information, call the "sports department" at 530-583-3440, ext. 11.
  • Be A Team Sponsor
Promote your business name in the community and support our local youth sports leagues by sponsoring a basketball, softball, or volleyball team. Your business name is printed on the sportswear of a team and you'll receive a plaque with your team's picture. For information on how to sponsor a team call 530-583-3440, ext. 11.
  • Give a Gift of Fun! Youth Scholarship
The Parks & Recreation Department wants every child to have the opportunity to participate regardless of the ability to pay. With this in mind, a scholarship program has been set up through donations from various community groups and individuals. If you would like to donate to this program, or if you have a child in need of assistance, please call the office at 530-583-3440, ext. 11 and inquire about this program.
