Rideout SnowFest! Queen Candidate

Introducing Sierra Stevens

Hello, my name is Sierra Stevens and I am running for Lake Tahoe's SnowFest! Queen of 2010. I am 17 years old and a senior at North Tahoe High School. I am running for SnowFest! Queen to help promote the Rideout Community Center.

Since the age of five, I have benefited from programs provided by the Tahoe City Parks & Recreation Department. I attended their Camp Skylandia Summer Camp and Project Learn, now the Kidz Club after school program held at Rideout. I played girls softball for three years which is now run through the community center as well. In Middle School I volunteered to help with their after school program, the Easter Egg Hunt and Town Halloween. After volunteering I was given the opportunity to work for Project Learn and assist the grade school children.

My main passions are volleyball, which I have played since the 8th grade, and traveling. I have been to Hawaii, the Caribbean, London, and I am planning a trip to Greece in August. After graduation I will be attending Sierra College.

The Tahoe City Parks and Recreation Department will be helping me sell raffle tickets. 50% of the money we collect will benefit the Community Center which enhances our community in so many ways. They have wonderful programs for all ages, abilities and interests.

Please help support the Rideout Community Center by purchasing raffle tickets either at the main TCPUD offices at 221 Fairway Drive or at Rideout located at 740 Timberland Lane. If you haven't been to Rideout, take this opportunity to check out the facility and all they have to offer.

Thank you, Sierra Stevens, hopeful 2010 SnowFest! Queen
