Updated 5/19/2025 - Tahoe City Golf Course is OPEN for the season!

No hole closures or impacts are expected this week. Crews are preparing the site and plan to begin construction by installing new irrigation pipe across the parking lot. 

Construction during the week of May 26 will likely focus on the tees and fairway of hole #5.

About the Project

TCPUD is investing $2.1 Million to replace Tahoe City Golf Course's aging irrigation system. The irrigation system at Tahoe City Golf Course has been in place since 1976, well beyond the typical 30-year lifespan for mountain environments. Thanks to ongoing maintenance, it has lasted longer than expected, but it’s time for a full replacement.

The new system will be more water efficient, have improved turf coverage, and provide a better golf experience for customers.

The project is funded by TCPUD property tax revenue and golf course revenue. This project is not supported by water and sewer rates.
